How it works
- Upload your floor plan Drop in a photo or screenshot of your plan — no need to redraw a single wall.
- Set the scale once Mark a wall or door you know the length of — click its two ends, or drag the ruler on your phone — then type the real length.
- Arrange true-to-size furniture Drag real-sized beds, sofas and tables onto the plan to see exactly what fits, and where.
Frequently asked questions
- What can I upload?
- Any digital floor-plan image — PNG, JPG or WebP. A screenshot of a listing’s floor plan or a photo of a printed one both work well; a straight-on, top-down view gives the best results.
- I don’t have a floor plan — can I still use it?
- ToScale works on top of a floor-plan image, so you’ll need one to start. A screenshot of a rental listing’s plan, a photo of a printed plan, or even a clear snapshot of a hand-drawn sketch all work.
- How do I set the scale?
- Mark the two ends of a distance you know — a dimensioned wall is ideal, and on a phone you just drag a pre-placed ruler into position. No number on the plan? Use the typical-size shortcuts (a door is about 90 cm). Every piece of furniture is then sized correctly against your plan.
- Can it tell me if my sofa will fit?
- That’s exactly what ToScale is for. Add your sofa at its real width and depth, drag it into place, and you’ll instantly see whether it fits and how much room is left around it.
- Centimetres or feet and inches?
- Both. Switch units at any time and every dimension updates instantly.
- Do I need an account? Is it free?
- No account and no signup — ToScale is completely free and runs entirely in your browser.
